The Representative of Indonesia to ASEAN Intergovernmental Commission on Human Rights (AICHR) conducted the "National Selection for AICHR Youth Video Competition, ASEAN against Trafficking: Humans are not for Sale" in June - September 2017. The panellists consisted of Representative from Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia to ASEAN, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, SOM on Transnational Crime (SOMTC) and National Secretariat of ASEAN-Indonesia. The videos submitted to AICHR Indonesia were judged based on criteria, including, originality, creativity, content, interactivity and quality of production. The video should not provoke hatred and incitement nor misinterpret ASEAN Convention against Trafficking in Persons, especially Women and Children (ACTIP) and ASEAN; should be in conformity with ASEAN Human Rights Declaration and national laws; and does not contain materials deemed inappropriate, misleading and contrary to the public interest of ASEAN or its Member States.
The panellists decided that the winner of the "National Selection of AICHR Youth Video Competition, ASEAN against Trafficking: Humans are not for Sale" is:
Michael Wenas, 18 years old

Hence, the video submitted by Michael Wenas will represent Indonesia in the "AICHR Youth Video Competition, ASEAN against Trafficking: Humans are not for Sale" in ASEAN level. The competition will take place between 18 September - 18 October 2017, both to select the Regional Winner by the committee of judges and the People's Choice Award through ASEAN social media platforms. The link to Wenas' video will be launched when the regional competition takes place from 18 September - 18 October 2017.
The decision of the panellists is final and may not be appealed.
